Hello, long time no speak, News: Marriage, 10 Years of Independent Publishing

It’s been awhile…

How are you all doing?

2017 for me started in quite a big way. After spending a lovely long Christmas break with my fiancé Heather Carr, we ended up getting married in Las Vegas! It is a long story, one I will probably share one day, but for now let’s just say it wasn’t planned to happen at that moment, and we crammed it in to the last two days of my stay in the States.

I am back in Britain now, and things have been extremley busy, hence the lack of blog posts for awhile. I am overwhelmed by the positive reaction to Other Silent Days. It seems you guys have really taken the book and its poems to heart. I absolutely love hearing your experiences of reading the book and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting it and me. In the first three months of its publication it has already become my second best selling book, so deep, deep gratitude for that. That book, and my other books are available from lulu.com here http://www.lulu.com/spotlight/phillipmellor if any of you are interested in supporting me by purchasing your own copy.

That brings me to the news of the day. This year marks the tenth anniversary of my first published book, Still Growing. To celebrate this milestone of ten years of independent publishing, I am putting together a special book of selected poems from that ten year period. Poems 2007-2017. It will feature poems selected by yours truly from across the seven books I have currently published, and a generous selection of new and uncollected works for you to enjoy. The book will be available in both Hardback and Paperback formats; the publishing date will be announced soon.

That’s about all for now. I am super excited to share this very special collection with you all, and hope you will join me in celebrating a decade of book publishing.

Until next time, take care of yourselves.

Love,

Phil
